Tried everything but your cellulite still refuses to take the hint? It’s time to turn to mesotherapy. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how many benefits a single treatment can reap!
What is cellulite? This usually manifests in the form of a cluster of hypodermic fat. As a result, the skin acquires an uneven crater-like texture. Cellulite is usually seen on the upper thigh and buttock areas but may crop up in other places. Between 80 to 90% of women undergo these symptoms at some point.
What is the best way to treat cellulite? Mesotherapy is great to reduce cellulite. This is a non-surgical technique of injecting enzymes, plant extract, hormones and vitamins into problem areas to tighten skin texture and remove surplus fat.
Lux Bright Medica is a licensed clinic that provides mesotherapy treatments for Maple clients under the highest standard of care. Through our healthcare and medical aesthetic treatments, we empower you to live your best life.
Benefits of Mesotherapy
Originally developed in 1952, mesotherapy was used to treat symptoms of pain. Because of its efficacy, it quickly picked up traction in North America and other parts of the world. Today, patients opt for mesotherapy to;
What to Expect During Treatment
Injections are done to the regions of the skin afflicted by cellulite. An experienced practitioner will be familiar with the areas where the skin is too delicate and needs to be treated carefully. The mesotherapy injection is intradermal and hypo (between 3-6mm). For patients that are experiencing discomfort, the point-by-point method is used, meaning 0.05-0.1ml is injected and there are fewer points of injection.
The treatment itself runs for about 30 minutes and isn’t painful – your doctor may use a numbing cream to offset discomfort.
How Often You Will Need Treatment to See Results
Typically, your doctor will suggest that you be treated weekly for a period of about 12 weeks. Results vary from one patient to the next but usually manifest at around the 5th week, and final results at around the 12th week. It is advisable to opt for an upkeep treatment every 6 months as mesotherapy can also serve as a preventative measure rather than just a therapeutic treatment.
The Cost of Treatment
How much does mesotherapy cost? The varies of the type of treatment you’re opting for and the number of sessions needed. You are looking at anywhere between $250 to $600. Usually, the treatment isn’t covered by insurance being that it is aesthetic and not medically mandated. Nonetheless, check with your provider before you opt for treatment.
